How To Run Multiple Businesses At Once

 Hi,

I had a small retail shop which was running well for ten years. I wished to expand but didn’t want to be in the same industry. I thought about it and came up with the idea of buying a business for sale in Sydney. I came across listings and found some lucrative businesses that seemed like a good investment. I asked my mate and he agreed to become my business partner by helping with funding and marketing. Buying an established business in the same postcode helped us to work on both businesses and we are now making a good return. I am sharing an article to explain how multiple businesses can be run at once.

NSW Greens call on Labor to close Peabody-owned Metropolitan Mine at Helensburgh

The NSW Greens will push the new Labor government to start a transition plan to close a major coal mine in the northern Illawarra that has been operating since 1887.

Greens environment spokeswoman Sue Higginson said the Peabody-owned Metropolitan Mine at Helensburgh could not manage its pollution in line with community expectations in terms of environmental controls.

"What we know is this mine is old, it's dirty, it's in the wrong place," she said.

A spill from the mine during rain event in September 2021 blanketed sections of a nearby creek and the Hacking River within the Royal National Park with thick, black sludge.

NSW election: Voting comes down to the wire as Labor's leadership team poised to take over

As vote counting continues in New South Wales, Labor's interim ministry will be sworn in by Governor Margaret Beazley on Tuesday, ending the caretaker period.

Labor has 45 seats confirmed, but a question mark remains over how many they will secure in total, with 47 needed to govern outright.

Incoming Treasurer Daniel Mookhey said the swearing-in would allow the senior leadership team to begin the decision-making process.

"This is important to allow the new government to get access to public service departments and commence the formal briefing process," he said.

9 Tips For Entering The Commercial Leasing Space

 Hello,

As a commercial property lessee, I have learnt a lot about commercial leases. However, when you sign the first lease with the landlord, you may not be aware of these things. Many times, tenants do not even pay attention to the clauses and then feel stuck. The first thing to consider is that the tenant is asked to pay the outgoings which include the legal fees and marketing and management fees if it is a retail property in a shopping centre. You need to negotiate the rent amount with the landlord and check if they are ready to offer any incentives. There are more such tips that can make your tenancy comfortable. I am sharing an article to explain this.

Top 9 Locations Outside Sydney CBD For Flexible Office Space

 Hi,

I am a commercial property owner who had invested in the Sydney suburbs in 2000s. I had no idea that I will have to witness something like the COVID-19 pandemic that almost took away our income. Our tenant left the building and I was unable to find another tenant for almost a year. It was a tarrying period, but I decided to rise up. I recreated my space into a co-working office space. I refurbished the interiors to give it a modern look and included all the amenities needed in a plush office. Now, I am enjoying the rental income through all the tenants working in my flexible space. I am sharing an article to tell you about all the locations in NSW for finding these offices.

Australian Matthew Niall's citizenship resumed after it was automatically revoked under outdated law

Matthew Niall can once again call himself an Australian.

The 41-year-old father of three, living in Denmark, had his application to resume his Australian citizenship approved by the Department of Home Affairs on February 14.

Mr Niall told the ABC it was still sinking in.

"My first reaction was one of relief," he said.

"I'm so happy to have it back … because I've never not felt Australian.

"I'm very grateful to the minister, that they've actually stepped up and expedited this unbelievably quickly.

Public school exodus continues as parents go private despite cost-of-living pressures

Mount Annan Christian College in Sydney's south-west is a construction zone as well as a busy school.

Twelve new classrooms are being built and the co-educational school has a waiting list that has expanded to include students still in the womb.

"We've had someone who just put their child's name down, yet their child's not born yet," principal Gabi Korocz said.

"So the mother is expecting — and that's just indicative of the demand we have here."

The latest national Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) schools data shows this appetite is replicated across the outer suburbs of Australia's biggest cities.

Western Sydney community leader Jamal Rifi takes down front yard COVID-19 clinic

When Western Sydney doctor Jamal Rifi started a makeshift COVID-19 clinic in his front yard early in the pandemic, he had no idea it would stay open for nearly three years.

More than 37,000 Western Sydney residents visited Dr Rifi at his home to receive their first, second, or booster vaccine, but now the partitions have come down.

"It's been almost 34 months non-stop in front of my house," Dr Rifi said.

"I opened the clinic so anyone with cold and flu symptoms, they could come in to be assessed by me.

"We thought that anyone who had any COVID or COVID-related symptoms, we can actually assess them, treat them, test them in one spot."

Former Australian women's cricket captain Belinda Clark honoured with a statue in bronze at the Sydney Cricket Ground

One of the greatest women's cricketers of all time, Australia's Belinda Clark, has been honoured on day two of the Sydney Test with the unveiling of a statue of her at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Clark has latterly been one of Australia's leading cricket administrators after a brilliant career that saw her captain Australia's women's team for more than a decade and hold numerous records, including the most Test and ODI runs for an Australian woman, and the top international score for an Australian woman — 229 not out.

The Clark sculpture — a world-first for a female cricketer — which shows her playing an attacking shot on the leg side, was created by NSW artist, Cathy Weiszmann.

Unions NSW splits from Labor on cashless gaming to stop 'scourge on society'

The top union leader in NSW has clashed with Labor over major gambling reform and urged the party to back the Coalition government's proposal for a cashless gaming card.

Unions NSW secretary Mark Morey is backing the government's plan, which would stop gamers from using cash at any of the 90,000 pokie machines across the state and force them to upload money onto a gaming card.

The plan has drawn ire from the chief executive of the RSL and Services Clubs Association and powerful lobby group Clubs NSW, which has already launched an opposing campaign ahead of the March state election.
