When Western Sydney doctor Jamal Rifi started a makeshift COVID-19 clinic in his front yard early in the pandemic, he had no idea it would stay open for nearly three years.
More than 37,000 Western Sydney residents visited Dr Rifi at his home to receive their first, second, or booster vaccine, but now the partitions have come down.
"It's been almost 34 months non-stop in front of my house," Dr Rifi said.
"I opened the clinic so anyone with cold and flu symptoms, they could come in to be assessed by me.
"We thought that anyone who had any COVID or COVID-related symptoms, we can actually assess them, treat them, test them in one spot."
