How To Keep Your Area Rugs Clean?

I love carpets, but my house has kids and pets, which makes it harder for us to have carpeted rooms. So I make do with the next best things: Area Rugs. I have one or two in each room. I have fine as well as thick fibre ones. While I regularly clean my house, I also make sure to clean the area rugs every two weeks. I clean one rug in one-two days and follow the below-mentioned steps, which were suggested to me by my aunt, who is a professional bond cleaner in Minto. Use these tips to maintain your house hygiene.

Keep Products and Equipment Handy

You need to keep napping brushes, vacuum cleaners, cleaning products, and other tools and products handy to maintain rugs. The best way to keep rugs last long is to clean and maintain them regularly.

Vacuum the Rugs Frequently

As I said, I vacuum one rug every one-two days. The rugs that are in high-traffic areas need more attention, and I usually try to vacuum them every day. This is one of the best ways to ensure bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens don’t accumulate in the fibres that can cause infectious diseases.

Immediate Spot Cleaning

I have a clean as you spill policy. I spot clean immediately to stop the stain from becoming stubborn or old. I use a natural and non-toxic rug cleaner and blot until the spot is faint. For more tips on carpet cleaning, click here https://www.bondcleaning.sydney/end-of-lease-cleaning-minto/.

Deep Clean Twice A Year

You can deep clean the rugs more than twice a year, but I prefer to clean them every six months. I use a high-quality rug shampoo and wash the rugs with a garden hose. The trick is to use a little shampoo. Dousing the rug with too much product can discolour and dry it. I use a rug softener as well. To dry the small rugs, I hang them, and for bigger rugs, I dry one side flat on the ground and flip to dry the other side.

A Word Of Caution

If you have rugs or carpets under warranty, according to the guidelines, you can get them cleaned by professional bond cleaners in Minto. Read the warranty and the manufacturer’s manual to learn how to properly care for a rug and clean it without damaging the product or voiding its warranty.
