How To Keep Your Area Rugs Clean?

I love carpets, but my house has kids and pets, which makes it harder for us to have carpeted rooms. So I make do with the next best things: Area Rugs. I have one or two in each room. I have fine as well as thick fibre ones. While I regularly clean my house, I also make sure to clean the area rugs every two weeks. I clean one rug in one-two days and follow the below-mentioned steps, which were suggested to me by my aunt, who is a professional bond cleaner in Minto. Use these tips to maintain your house hygiene.

Keep Products and Equipment Handy

You need to keep napping brushes, vacuum cleaners, cleaning products, and other tools and products handy to maintain rugs. The best way to keep rugs last long is to clean and maintain them regularly.

Vacuum the Rugs Frequently

As I said, I vacuum one rug every one-two days. The rugs that are in high-traffic areas need more attention, and I usually try to vacuum them every day. This is one of the best ways to ensure bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens don’t accumulate in the fibres that can cause infectious diseases.

Immediate Spot Cleaning

I have a clean as you spill policy. I spot clean immediately to stop the stain from becoming stubborn or old. I use a natural and non-toxic rug cleaner and blot until the spot is faint. For more tips on carpet cleaning, click here https://www.bondcleaning.sydney/end-of-lease-cleaning-minto/.

Deep Clean Twice A Year

You can deep clean the rugs more than twice a year, but I prefer to clean them every six months. I use a high-quality rug shampoo and wash the rugs with a garden hose. The trick is to use a little shampoo. Dousing the rug with too much product can discolour and dry it. I use a rug softener as well. To dry the small rugs, I hang them, and for bigger rugs, I dry one side flat on the ground and flip to dry the other side.

A Word Of Caution

If you have rugs or carpets under warranty, according to the guidelines, you can get them cleaned by professional bond cleaners in Minto. Read the warranty and the manufacturer’s manual to learn how to properly care for a rug and clean it without damaging the product or voiding its warranty.

India tour of Australia : No Kit Sponsor for Kohli’s team India, matter to be discussed in Apex Council meeting

The Indian cricket team due to tour Australia in November this year is currently without a kit sponsor. The embarrassing matter is listed in the agenda for discussion in the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Apex Council Meeting today. This perhaps is the first time that the epitome of sports advertising asset in India, i.e the Indian cricket team is without a kit sponsor. The BCCI is really concerned about the situation and will be discussing the matter in the meeting.

The kit supply rights for the Indian team have been up for grabs since global sportswear brand Nike indicated that it would not be extending its contract beyond its September expiry date. Nike had held the rights since 2006 and had requested to continue in the position at a reduced rate, but this was rejected by the BCCI. That led to an invitation to tender for the rights, but it failed to evoke any interest from the market.

Why Australia's road death toll has plateaued

The death toll on Australia's roads won't drop any lower unless a new approach goes beyond the traditional 'fatal five' strategy, a road safety expert has predicted.

Government data crunched by nine.com.au shows just how dramatically deaths on Australian roads have fallen in the past 30 years, thanks to policing, driver education and advances in engineering.

But Professor Paul Salmon, director of the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at University of the Sunshine Coast, said the death toll had now plateaued and won't budge without a significant change that could save many lives each year.

5 Useful Tips to Get Back Your Security Deposit

When you are moving out of a rental property, the biggest concern is to get back the security deposit without any disputes. However, despite making efforts, many tenants lost a hefty amount from their bond money because they do not focus on the important factors. I have recently relocated to Ashfield, Sydney and received my entire security deposit from my previous landlord. Thus, I am here to share five useful tips to get back your security deposit. Let’s have a look.

1. Read the Rental Agreement Properly

You should always read your rental agreement thoroughly when you are moving in. It usually has all the essential information like whether you can have pets, what areas you must clean thoroughly at the end of lease and what should be your notice period. If you fulfil all the demands of the landlord, you can get apply to get back the bond money confidently.

2. Serve Notice on Time

Tenants often delay in informing their landlord that they are moving out of the rental property. This delay can allow the landlords to deduct money from your security deposit. Usually, the tenant needs to serve one month notice period to their landlord. However, if the notice period is two months in your lease agreement, then you will have to do that. I have recently moved to Ashfield suburb in Sydney and served two months notice in my previous rental property.

3. Hire Professional Cleaners

It is perfectly fine to clean your house on your own, but when it comes to the end of lease cleaning, you must hire professionals in Sydney. They use moving checklist, modern tools and their skill to get the job done perfectly. If you are looking for a reliable removals company in Ashfield, visit https://www.bondcleaning.sydney/end-of-lease-cleaning-ashfield/. I have recently hired them, and they did a fantastic job.

4. Pay Rent on Time

You should always pay your rent on time and make sure you have all your receipts. If any rent is pending, or you haven’t received any receipt of a particular month, clear everything before you service a notice. It is very important to get back the security deposit without any disputes. Otherwise, the landlord can claim some amount from your bond money.

5. Repair the Damages before Moving Out

When you live in a rental property for at least one year, a little bit of wear and tear is expected. However, if there is any major damage like holes in the wall, damaged carpets, broken light fittings or window glass and pipe leakages, you need to repair that. Either do it on your own or hire professionals in Sydney.

Endnote

When you are moving out of your rental property, the uncertainty of getting back the security deposit can be very stressful. This stress can make a negative impact on your entire moving process. So, follow the tips mentioned above and increase your chance of getting back the deposit money.

Australia's English test for partner visas could leave women at mercy of abusers, experts warn

The federal government’s plan to force people seeking a partner visa to learn English could leave them without a safety net from family violence, critics have said, despite the Coalition’s claim that the measure is aimed at protecting women.

The government announced in Tuesday’s budget that from late 2021 it would require partner visa applicants applying for permanency to have made “reasonable efforts” to learn English. The same test would apply to their permanent resident sponsors.

Australian federal budget found to be the most secretive ever produced

Moral dilemmas are assailing us from all angles at the moment. I had one some Sundays ago that I’ve been wrestling with ever since: how do you hold something that you adore when you learn that it is deeply and inescapably problematic? How do you reconcile its meaning in your life with its egregious, potentially harmful nature?

Tasmanian Devils Reintroduced to Australia after 3,000-Year Absence

Tasmanian devils are back Down Under for the first time in thousands of years, thanks to a reintroduction project that released a group of the feisty marsupials in Barrington Tops, a protected national park about 200 kilometers north of Sydney.

Eleven devils were freed Tuesday to roam mainland Australia; they are the first of their kind to do so in nearly 3,000 years. Their population was at least partially wiped out by dingoes, wild dogs that were introduced to the Outback at least 3,500 years ago. Ecologists say that a surge in the indigenous human population and a severe drought caused by a prolonged El Nino also contributed to their elimination from the mainland.
